Hello, I am Loveleen Seehra, a ceramic artist living in Punjab, India. Graduated in 1986 from College of Arts,Chandigarh with a BFA degree in Commercial Arts.
My initial interest in Glass led me to practise Stained Glass, which over the years steadily culminated into a move towards the fine art of Pottery. Learnt the art at Andretta Pottery in Himachal Pradesh.
In an effort to keep this dying art alive,I started my own Pottery Studio,one of it’s kind in Jalandhar, designed by my husband Ranbir.
We named it “STUDIO POT-UH-REE”.My studio is in my homeland which offers me the freedom to work at any time. It’s big enough to teach classes and cozy enough to be a lovely place to work.
I work with a devoted team of potters and artists. The Studio provides facilities for students, has many wheels – slab roller, tables for slab pottery and electric kilns. It has encouraged many young girls and women to express themselves through this medium of art. Nature plays a large inspirational role for both the design and decoration of my pottery. It is my intention to make each piece unique so that it reminds the user that it’s handmade, hand painted, created with love and passion. My hope is that these pieces will be fun and functional and bring a little happiness into your everyday activities like serving a meal, growing a plant or having your morning tea. It makes me so happy that
these pieces make their way to good homes where they will be loved.
